As a Line Cook you will support our culinary team in one of these kitchens serving up amazing food to our members, guests, and customers.

Who we are…

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.

The Property…

Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW.

The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.

As part of our culinary team and reporting to the kitchen leadership team, you will:

  • Keeping our guests and customers well fed by preparing and serving our restaurant menus
  • Able to read recipes and create dishes that look and taste amazing, always following Ned’s Club standards
  • Setup station, work on prep as assigned, follow FIFO, manage tickets during service
  • Tackle any glitches or issues head on, prioritizing the guest experience every time
  • Work alongside other line cooks, Chef and Front of House team and Management to deliver a seamless and smooth experience to every guest
  • Use equipment properly, we want you to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment
  • Our service flows straight from breakfast, to lunch, into dinner so you will need to keep your kitchen clean, tidy, well presented, and ready to hand over to the next team of cooks
  • May also support the next team of cooks by helping to prep for the next service
  • Our kitchens all operate different hours, so we can usually accommodate your preferred shift patterns – but as always a degree of flexibility is required in hospitality

What you can bring to the role:

  • Previous experience on the line in an operational kitchen
  • Any specialist knowledge of cooking techniques or cuisine types may be advantageous
  • Our kitchens can be high pressure so a calm demeanor and a genuine passion for providing guests with exceptional food is essential
  • A creative flair is always welcome, our menus change seasonally, and you may be offered the opportunity to assist your Head Chef in menu creation
