The Role… 

As an Events Sales Manager, you will play a key role in generating and driving event sales for our Central London Soho House locations. Your focus will be on selling our event spaces for a variety of occasions including private parties, corporate events, and member functions. You will work closely with clients from the initial inquiry through to the execution of the event, ensuring a seamless experience that meets their expectations while driving revenue for the business.

Main Duties…

  • Generate new business by identifying, prospecting, and converting leads for events, including private parties, corporate functions, and other member events.
  • Collaborate with the Events team to create tailored event proposals, packages, and pricing that meet the client’s specific needs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients from initial enquiry to event completion, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Conduct tours of the venue for prospective clients, presenting the benefits of hosting an event at Soho House.
  • Work with the Events & Operations teams to ensure all event details are communicated clearly, and timelines and expectations are met.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, securing bookings and ensuring profitability.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of events to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Marketing, and Operations to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Monitor and report on event sales performance, tracking key metrics and client satisfaction.
  • Assist with the management and growth of event-related partnerships and relationships with suppliers and external vendors.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and new offerings to keep Soho House competitive in the marketplace.
  • Provide guidance and assist with development and training of your team

What we are looking for...

  • Proven experience in event sales, with at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the hospitality, events, or private members’ club industry.
  • Strong understanding of the event sales process, including lead generation, proposal development, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a pipeline of sales opportunities, and hit targets.
  • Experience in co-ordinating and managing events for up to 200 guests
  • Experience in using an event booking system (ideally Tripleseat)
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
