Job Role...

As a Bartender with Soho House, your role is to make sure that our members have an amazing experience every time. Possessing natural hospitality charm, we will give you a platform to connect, grow, have fun and make an impact

Your main responsibilities are serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food (when needed) and providing excellent service to members, creating memorable experiences. Other duties include mixing cocktails, preparing the bar for service and ensuring it is in pristine condition. 

Main Duties...

• To create a welcoming environment for members when they approach the bar.
• To fulfil members’ drinks orders accurately and promptly in line with speed of service standards.
• To enquire about any allergy or dietary requirements.
• To verify the age of guests checking identification if necessary.
• To possess a strong understanding of the drinks menu in order to make recommendations on pairings and any other specific member requests.
• To enquiring if the members are satisfied with food or drink and following up to see if they need anything else.
• To accommodate special requests where possible to creative a positive outcome which will result in a memorable member experience.
• To perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations.
• To work alongside the barbacks to ensure the bar is stocked up.
• To maintain a spotless and pristine working environment.
• To provide members with the bill and processing payment via card or utilising the SHApp and House Pay.
• To attend regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu changes and specials alongside daily tastings.
• To run drinks for the bar to the tables when needed.
• To resolve member complaints where possible, handling all member interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism. If this is not achievable to escalate to line manager or membership team.
• To act in all matters related to safety, security, satisfaction and wellbeing of employees and members.
• To assure the proper handling of VIPs and PWKs, protecting their privacy and confidentiality.

Experience Required..

A successful Bartender for Soho House will ideally have previous experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You will have strong knowledge of classic cocktails and have experience preparing cocktails and serving in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.
