Job Role...

As a Barback with Soho House, your role is to make sure that our members have an amazing experience every time. Possessing natural hospitality charm, we will give you a platform to connect, grow, have fun and make an impact

Your main responsibilities are to support the bartending teams in the smooth running of the bar. This includes ensuring the bar is stocked with spirits, garnishes, ice, and other products needed throughout their shift. You will ensure that glasses, stirrers, shakers, strainers and other bartending tools are clean and in the proper position for use.

Main Duties...

• To create a welcoming environment for members when they approach the bar.
• To ensure the bar is fully stocked at all times including; replenishing ice, spirits and mixers, preparing garnishes and restocking glasses.
• To polish glassware and ensuring glasses and in the right place.
• To clean shakers, stirrers, strainers and other bartending tools and ensuring they are in their correct places.
• To retrieve and replenish beverages from storage. Restocking wines, mixers, spirits, straws, napkins and garnishes.
• To collect glassware from the bar area, tables and other sections.
• To ensure bins are regularly emptied and cleanliness and hygiene are observed at all times.
• To perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations.
• To maintain a spotless and pristine working environment.
• To provide members with the bill and processing payment via card or utilising the SHApp and House Pay.
• To attend regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu changes and specials alongside daily tastings.
• To run drinks for the bar to the tables when needed.
• To handle all member interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
• To act on all matters related to safety, security, satisfaction and wellbeing of employees and members.
• To assure the proper handling of VIPs and PWKs, protecting their privacy and confidentiality.
• To support the team with any of their needs on an ad-hoc basis.

Experience Required..

A successful Barback for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.
