The Role…
At Soho House, as the Head Receptionist, you will lead the front desk team in providing a warm, professional, and seamless welcome to all members, guests, and visitors. As the first point of contact, you will set the tone for exceptional service and ensure that reception operations run smoothly and efficiently at all times.

Key duties…
- Supervise and support the reception team in delivering consistent, high-quality service
- Answer high-volume phone lines and calls for restaurant, roof and cinema reservations, general inquiries, and deliveries, messages for members and from employees; among other inquiries.
- Well-versed on standard Q&A regarding menus, hours of operation and amenity availability/pricing.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work environment, reception area, desk and coat check closet.
- Support, redirect and problem solve in real-time to ensure any guest related concerns are addressed and action items have been set.
- Prepare daily reports and handovers for management, identifying any service or operational issues
- Build relationships with members and guests and communicate and red flags and positive feedback to management.
- Train and onboard new reception team members, and conduct regular refresher sessions
- Monitor reception systems, bookings, membership database, and ensure data accuracy and compliance
- Oversee shift rotas, task delegation, and team communication to maintain full coverage and efficiency
What we are looking for...
A successful Head Receptionist for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.
- Experience in luxury hospitality or private members clubs
- 2–4 years in a receptionist or front-of-house role within a premium hospitality environment
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Proficient in reservation systems (e.g., Opera, Open Table, or equivalent)
- Calm under pressure and adept at resolving issues with a guest-first mindset
