Main Duties…

We are seeking Cinema Programmer to join the Hong Kong team! The role is expected to:

  • Conduct research on films for each month’s screening calendar and gather all relevant materials, including film info, DCP and KDM.
  • Coordinate in-person Q&A sessions
  • Set up monthly screening calendars and work with local teams to ensure all screenings are staffed, checked in correctly and attendance is taken.
  • Monitor weekly film deliveries and schedule technical check for every screening.
  • Work closely with Private Hire/Membership Team for special events and maintain excellent partnership with distributors and film festivals.
  • Adapt quickly to support spontaneous high-priority tasks from overseas leadership to ensure seamless global operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

Requirements / Qualifications...

  • Strong interest in film programming, cinema culture, and audience experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and handle scheduling changes calmly
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with a internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in programming, events, or distribution coordination (cinema/film industry preferred)
  • Familiarity with film formats, digital delivery, and common technical requirements
  • Background in theater/event programming or production coordination is preferred
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities, and to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote teamwork.
