The Role..
Soho House & Co are seeking an events producer expert with experience executing all aspects of events, from creative ideation to completion. The role will be responsible for executing a yearly series of events across Singapore and selected Asia Pacific cities including dinners, concerts, workshops, music events etc. for the Cities Without Houses membership team.
This position will be responsible for managing and executing quality events, including client and partner liaison and all event production, logistics and budgets.
Event production for Cities Without Houses will include sourcing locations, sourcing F&B partners, finding suitable suppliers for everything from furniture to cutlery, glassware etc. It will include bringing on board additional resources to either help with execution of the event, to hosting to service. Event producers will manage the budget for each event but will report into the Head of Membership for the region. Producers will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the events and how they reflect Soho House as a brand. Producers will need to work flexible hours and be prepared and able to travel to not only attend the events but do scouting missions and to meet suppliers and partners.
The role will oversee events in: Predominately Singapore and a select Asia Pacific cities
Key Responsibilities
- Event Execution – ability to manage all areas of a project concurrently from supporting on larger projects to running smaller projects. This includes: conducting venue site visits, supplier meetings and debriefs. Managing performers & talent riders & requests.
- Project Management – assist in creating systems to track the booking and forward planning of events so that deadlines and budgets are always met and work closely with the Head of Membership and Membership Managers to ensure events deliver on business goals.
- Event Ideation – assist with ideation of events, lending creative input.
- Event Programming – work closely with Membership Managers on event programming for Singapore and other Cities Without Houses markets across APAC, ensuring programming is culturally relevant and aligned with the Soho House brand.
- Creative Direction & Styling – bring a strong creative vision to every event, ensuring Soho House style is reflected across venue selection, event styling, food and beverage presentation, music, florals, furniture and the overall member experience.
- Finance – manage budgets, liaise with Finance to ensure all invoices are paid prior to and post events.
- Administrative – manage supplier contracts, partnership contracts, run of shows etc. Manage multiple suppliers across a range of events ensuring contracts are delivered on time and as per specification.
- Reporting – track event performance, attendance and use this knowledge to help with future events planning.
- Communications – draft event copy and load events onto GEM, the in-house event platform.
- Only At Soho House – ensure Soho House style is evident at each event. Demonstrate a keen understanding of the member user experience, food, beverage and event styling.
Skills and qualifications
- 5+ years equivalent industry experience
- Native speaking or fluent in English. Additional Asian language(s) such as Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean would be advantageous to support activations across Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai and other APAC markets.
- Experience in cultural event programming or cultural event production
- Strong organizational skills a must
- Ability to multitask and execute under pressure and in demanding fast-paced environments
- Strong social skills for dealing with and developing client, suppliers, partners and staff relationships
- Collaborative and communicates well
- A good knowledge of site and event health and safety and the ability to write incident reports
- Experience in managing budgets, processing invoices and payments essential
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, proactive; a team player who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance, and administrative initiatives
- Experienced with Outlook, Trello, Excel, Eventpro software or similar software e.g. GEM, Salesforce experience a bonus
- Hospitality, luxury lifestyle, fashion, music or cultural events experience a plus
