Maintenance Technician IV (Landscaper) - Soho Beach House Miami

Scope of the Job

At Soho House, the Maintenance Technician IV is an entry-level maintenance role responsible for responding to House Calls, completing routine preventative maintenance, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the property. Working under the guidance of senior Maintenance Technicians and the Engineering Manager, you will develop your knowledge of building systems while performing basic repairs and ensuring members, guests, and team members experience a safe and well-maintained environment.

A successful Maintenance Technician IV is dependable, service-oriented, eager to learn, and takes pride in delivering quality work while maintaining Soho House standards.

• Respond to House Calls and routine maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Perform basic repairs including guest room maintenance, light plumbing, basic electrical, painting, drywall patching, fixture replacement, and furniture repairs.
• Assist senior technicians with equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, installations, and maintenance projects.
• Learn the operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment, and other building systems.
• Escalate repairs beyond your skill level to senior technicians or the Engineering Manager.
• Accurately complete work orders and document completed work in the maintenance system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following company safety procedures.
• Work professionally in occupied member and guest areas while protecting finishes and minimizing disruption.
• Support emergency response activities including water leaks, power outages, refrigeration failures, fire alarms, flooding, and other property emergencies under the direction of senior technicians.
• Follow company policies and support compliance with Health Department, OSHA, Fire Life Safety, and local building standards.

Experience Required

• 0-2 years of maintenance, facilities, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance including painting, drywall, light plumbing, basic electrical, and minor carpentry repairs.
• Willingness to learn building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on routine maintenance tasks while recognizing when to seek support.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs as needed.
• No certifications required; OSHA 10 or other safety training is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
• Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
• Fast-paced movement throughout the property is required.
• Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.
• Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required.
